Carroll County Farm Museum is a 2025 Blue Star Museum

Free admission for military personnel and their families through Labor Day!

Westminster, MD, Wednesday, May 13, 2026 – Carroll County Government is announcing that the Carroll County Farm Museum will join museums nationwide in the 2026 Blue Star Museums initiative, a program that provides free admission to currently serving U.S. military personnel, including National Guard and Reserve, and their families this summer. The 2026 program will begin on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 16, 2026, and end on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026. “The Carroll County Farm Museum is honored with its designation as a Blue Star Museum,” said Economic Development Director Denise Beaver. “It is a way to thank military families, and we are happy to welcome service men and women and their families for a fun, educational and relaxing visit in Westminster.”

About Blue Star Museums: Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of War, and museums across America to offer free admission to the nation’s active duty military personnel including National Guard and Reserve and their families each summer. The free admission program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military–Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, Coast Guard–including Reservists, National Guardsman (regardless of status), U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and up to five family members. Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card for entrance into a participating Blue Star Museum.
