This year’s theme is “Agriculture: Together We Grow: Celebrating 250 Years of Progress in Agriculture.”  The National Ag Day website states, “It’s a day to recognize and celebrate the abundance provided by agriculture. Every year, producers, agricultural associations, corporations, universities, government agencies and countless others across America join together to recognize the contributions of agriculture.”

Carroll County Economic Development staff, joined by Carroll County Farm Bureau representative Gary Dell from Dell Brothers Farm, and Farm Museum Manager Jane Sewell were present as part of the proclamation.

The county is proud to host the Carroll County Farm Museum, a 140-acre museum featuring life on the farm in the late 1800s and preserving the region’s rural and agricultural heritage. The Farm Museum offers a beautiful open space where visitors enjoy nature while learning about Carroll County’s agricultural past.

The county is happy to acknowledge National Agriculture Day as a great opportunity to recognize and celebrate the vital role agriculture plays in our lives and communities. This year, with commemorating America’s Semiquincentennial, we further celebrate 250 years of progress and innovation by providing a platform to highlight the vital role agriculture has played in building the nation—from early farming traditions to modern innovations that continue to sustain communities today. Carroll County residents are encouraged to support local farms and agricultural establishments, acknowledging their ongoing commitment, contributions, and positive impact on the community.
