Northrop Grumman Breakout Session
Northrop Grumman is one of Maryland’s largest manufacturing companies. Come interact with Steve Smalley, an Engineer at Northrop Grumman, & hear about manufacturing computer chips & radars for fighter jets. In addition, Steve will discuss underlying principles in manufacturing including consistency, dealing with variability & accurately reading the design documentation.

Strouse Corporation Breakout Session
Have you wondered what keeps all the parts of cell phones, video games & TVs together? Would you like working alongside a robot? Would you like your work to be fun & challenging? If yes, join the Strouse team for hands-on manufacturing training with rewards & benefits. Full-time & paid internship positions are available, which includes on-the-job training for up to 6 months. Come & hear from our CCPS graduates who have built a successful career at Strouse!

Digital Design & Fabrication Breakout Session
Carroll Community College is in the process of creating a new degree & certificates in Digital Design & Fabrication, preparing students for employment or advancement in such fields as fabrication, advanced manufacturing, industrial engineering & design, product design & more. This program will combine traditional fabrication concepts with new design & fabrication processes including additive manufacturing (3D printing), subtractive manufacturing & 3D scanning tools. Tour our newly constructed Fab Lab.
