County Recognizes Economic Development Week
Agricultural Businesses Celebrated
Westminster, MD, Friday, November 1, 2024 – Last week, the Carroll County Department of Economic Development celebrated Economic Development week by visiting over 20 agricultural business throughout all five districts of the county. Carroll County Department of Economic Development teams recognize the importance of the agriculture industry as a contributor to the county and state’s economy and quality of life, and as such, met with farms or agricultural operations’ owners to pay tribute and thank them. The team presented certificates of appreciation and a small gift to each establishment.
“We had a great week visiting agriculture-related industry business throughout the county,” said Economic Development Director Denise Beaver. “Economic Development week is just one way that we demonstrate our appreciation to the business community for choosing to create jobs for our citizens and for doing business in Carroll County. During these visits we not only thank the enterprise but also listen and learn about their business support needs. Our sincere appreciation and responsive actions help to maintain a positive business climate and hopefully help our companies grow.”
