Old friends, new members—everyone is welcome as we celebrate three decades of community and connection.

Our speakers this month are Sheriff DeWees and Chief Spaulding.

Sheriff DeWees is the 58th Sheriff of Carroll County and was recently elected as the president of the Maryland Sheriffs Association. He is a retired captain with the Maryland State Police and has been policing Carroll County for more than 36 years. He attended our very own South Carroll High School, Mount Saint Mary’s University, Seton Hall University and beyond. He has served our community since 1991.

Chief Michael Spaulding of the Sykesville Police Department has a long career in law enforcement. He attended the University of Maryland, where he received a BA in Criminology and The Johns Hopkins University where he received a MS in Management. Chief Spaulding has served the state of Maryland and our community since 1987.

The SCBA holds its monthly luncheon on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 12 noon at Liberatore’s Ristorante 6300 Georgetown Blvd., Sykesville, MD. The luncheon is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Please register in advance or pay an additional $3 at the door.
