DESCRIPTION:The Carroll Business Network brings small business leaders together\, educates on actionable business topics\, and builds relationships in the community. The Network promotes community-building by sharing contact information with all speakers and attendees. A complete roster of speakers is provided. This monthly event includes lunch. \nThe Carroll Business Network meets on the first Monday of every month at Tony’s Japanese Restaurant in Sykesville from 12pm-1:30\, with postponement dates in case of Federal holidays. Registration is completed via the event web portal. \nOver a relaxed meal\, attendees are given the chance to improve network with fellow business owners. The Carroll Business Network also seeks to help increase the exposure of local businesses through live video uploads to Facebook of attendee elevator pitches. Keynote speakers are featured at each event\, focusing on specific business-related topics. The program’s curriculum consists of 12 topics relevant to business development and sustainability. DESCRIPTION:Join us for the South Carroll Business Association’s 30th Anniversary Celebration at Liberatore’s Ristorante on Wednesday\, December 17\, 2025. \nOld friends\, new members—everyone is welcome as we celebrate three decades of community and connection. \nOur speakers this month are Sheriff DeWees and Chief Spaulding. \nSheriff DeWees is the 58th Sheriff of Carroll County and was recently elected as the president of the Maryland Sheriffs Association. He is a retired captain with the Maryland State Police and has been policing Carroll County for more than 36 years. He attended our very own South Carroll High School\, Mount Saint Mary’s University\, Seton Hall University and beyond. He has served our community since 1991. \nChief Michael Spaulding of the Sykesville Police Department has a long career in law enforcement. He attended the University of Maryland\, where he received a BA in Criminology and The Johns Hopkins University where he received a MS in Management. Chief Spaulding has served the state of Maryland and our community since 1987.  \nThe SCBA holds its monthly luncheon on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 12 noon at Liberatore’s Ristorante 6300 Georgetown Blvd.\, Sykesville\, MD. The Network promotes community-building by sharing contact information with all speakers and attendees. A complete roster of speakers is provided. This monthly event includes lunch. \nThe Carroll Business Network meets on the first Monday of every month at Tony’s Japanese Restaurant in Sykesville from 12pm-1:30\, with postponement dates in case of Federal holidays. The Carroll Business Network also seeks to help increase the exposure of local businesses through live video uploads to Facebook of attendee elevator pitches. Keynote speakers are featured at each event\, focusing on specific business-related topics. The program’s curriculum consists of 12 topics relevant to business development and sustainability.
