Earlybird registration ends on 9/15/26, registration closes on 10/23/26

The Carroll County Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (CCSHRM) will host its 2026 Annual Conference on November 5, 2026, at the Wakefield Valley Park Event Center in Westminster, MD.

Operating from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, this year’s event centers on the theme, “The Human Side of Change: Communication & Mindfulness for Resilient Workplaces”.

The conference offers 5.5 SHRM and HRCI recertification credits for attending industry professionals.

This premier regional event is specifically designed for business leaders, HR professionals, and individuals who are managing their workplace. Attendees will gain practical, actionable strategies to navigate evolving workplace landscapes, strengthen internal communication, build resilient corporate cultures, and proactively support employee wellbeing.

The morning session features an opening keynote by Emmy-nominated journalist and communication strategist Christina Butler, titled “Clear, Concise, Confident: The Communication Playbook HR Teams Use To Move Work Forward”. Additional morning presentations include sessions on managerial communication by Lisa Schaefer of RealTalk Strategies, and change management strategies by Kimberly Nash of THriv.

Following a networking lunch, the afternoon agenda targets organizational resilience under pressure. Whitney Siders of The Modern Inc. will present on decision-making pressures, followed by a session on workplace wellbeing from Dr. Jessie Biondi of Wunsupona. The day concludes with a closing keynote by Adam Bradley from the Dr. Nancy Grasmick Leadership Institute, titled “Leverage Uncertainty: Turning Uncertainty Into Your Advantage”.

Early bird registration rates are available through September 15th at $125 for CCSHRM members and $150 for non-members. Standard registration after September 15th is priced at $145 for members and $175 for non-members, with a flat $100 rate for students. The final deadline to register for the event is October 23, 2026.
