NOTICE OF PUBLIC SALE OF SURPLUS REAL ESTATE

Notice is given that the Board of County Commissioners is soliciting sealed bids at Carroll County Government, Department of Economic Development, 225 N. Center Street, Room 107, Westminster, Maryland 21157.

Bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014 and will be opened immediately in room 107 for the following properties:

Lippy Property
Tax map 22, parcel 197

Elm Street Extended Property
Tax Map 46, parcel 100
.13 acres

Eden Pond Property
Tax Map 39, parcel 776 (part of B)

Elkins Property

Terms of sale will be as follows: settlement within 60 days of notice of winning bid. Buyers are responsible for all costs associated with the settlement, including, but not limited to, transfer taxes, documentary stamps, etc. Taxes will be adjusted to the date of settlement.

The County will accept the highest and most qualified bid and reserves the right to reject any and all bids and may thereafter negotiate with interested parties for the sale of any property.

ALL PROPERTIES ARE SOLD “AS IS” WITH NO WARRANTY REGARDING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS, DEVELOPMENT RIGHTS AND/OR ANY OTHER ASSUMPTIONS. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “sealed bid”.
